Frequently Asked Questions

Questions about renovating.

Practical answers about our services, planning a renovation and getting in touch. If your question is not here, email us at lumeroza@op.pl.

01Scope and services

What kind of work does Lumeroza do?

We focus on the interior renovation of existing apartments and houses. This includes complete apartment renovations, house interiors, bathrooms, kitchens, painting and decorating, flooring and tiling, walls and ceilings, and smaller refresh projects. You can read about each one on our Services page.

Do you build new houses or carry out structural work?

No. We do not undertake new construction, extensions or structural alterations. Changes to load-bearing walls or the building structure require a design and supervision by appropriately qualified professionals and, in many cases, formal approval. Our work concentrates on the interior of existing homes.

Can you take on a single room or a small job?

Yes, depending on the scope. A single bathroom, one room to repaint or a selection of improvements can be a project in its own right. Our Interior Refresh & Improvements service describes this kind of work.

Where are you based?

Lumeroza sp. z o.o. is based at Wlodarzewska 59C, 02-384 Warszawa, Poland. If your property is elsewhere, please mention its location when you contact us and we will tell you whether we can help.

02Planning and preparation

How does a renovation with you usually start?

It starts with a conversation. You describe the property, its current condition and what you would like to change, ideally with a few photos. We then discuss the next step, which is usually a visit to see the space and talk through the scope in more detail.

How long will my renovation take?

It depends on the size of the property, the scope of work, the condition of what is already there and how quickly materials can be delivered. We discuss timing once the scope is clear rather than quoting a standard duration that might not apply to your home.

How should I prepare before the work begins?

It helps to clear the rooms involved, decide where furniture and belongings will be stored, check any rules set by your building administration, and make early decisions on materials with long delivery times. We go through a practical checklist with you before work starts.

Can I live at home during the renovation?

For smaller projects or work done room by room, many people stay at home. For complete renovations, especially when the bathroom or kitchen is out of use, moving out for part of the time is often more comfortable. We talk this through when planning the sequence of work.

03Materials and finishes

Who chooses and supplies the materials?

This is agreed for each project. Some clients choose and buy their own tiles, flooring and fittings; others prefer us to help with selection. Either way, it is important to agree early who orders what, so that deliveries match the order of work.

Can you work with my interior designer or architect?

Yes. If you already have a design or drawings, we can work from them and coordinate on practical details during the renovation.

Are the photos on this website your completed projects?

No. The images on this website are illustrative interior inspiration that show the atmosphere and materials we admire. They are not documentation of specific Lumeroza projects.

04Apartments and houses

What should I know about renovating in an apartment building?

Buildings often have rules about working hours, noise, deliveries and the use of lifts and common areas, and some works may need to be notified to or agreed with the building administration. Please check these early. Our Complete Apartment Renovation service explains how we plan around them.

Is renovating a house interior different from an apartment?

Houses usually involve several floors, stairwells and more circulation space, and are often renovated in phases. Read more in House Interior Renovation.

05Bathrooms and kitchens

What is involved in a bathroom renovation?

Typically: strip-out, preparation of walls and floors, installation points, waterproofing of wet zones, tiling or stone, and finally fittings and sealing. The layout and storage are planned first. See Bathroom Renovation for the full picture.

Do you make kitchen furniture?

Kitchen furniture is often designed and supplied by a specialist kitchen studio or joiner. Our Kitchen Renovation service focuses on preparing and finishing the room itself, coordinated with the drawings for your furniture.

06Contacting us
